Virgin Gorda and Leverick Bay abound with natural beauty and is the perfect destination for people who love nature and water. Enjoy superb views, relaxing on uncrowded beaches, fantastic walks, scuba diving, kite-surfing, boating or sailing, just to name a few.
Virgin Gorda has some of the most beautiful beaches in the BVI. The water is turquoise and warm.
Savannah Bay - a hidden gem, never any crowds with soft sandy beach and shallow crystal calm water with easy snorkeling around beautiful coral. You can hike there by beautiful trail from Little Dix Bay.
The Baths, probably the most famous beach, and Devils Bay are true natural wonders surrounded by huge volcanic boulders. The path between these two beaches are through natural caves through the boulders, with sunlight streaming through cracks, and shining on turquoise pools. The beach is beautiful, white sand and snorkeling around submerged boulders in crystal clear water. Spring bay nearby is also a great beach for snorkeling.
Sand Box on Prickly Pear island is a few minutes boat ride from Gun Creek in the North Sound, with a beach bar, volleyball and beach BBQ.
Little Dix Bay, located at the Little Dix Resort originally built by Laurence Rockefeller in the 1960's, is a calm protected bay inside a reef where you will often be greeted by a turtle whilst snorkeling.
Leverick Bay has a small sandy beach at the dock, with a beach bar and a beautiful swimming pool right on the beach.
Enjoy everything from a relaxing meal on the beach to fine dining. If your staying in Leverick Bay you can enjoy a great meal at the Leverick Bay restaurant, head over to Saba Rock for a burger, enjoy a great lunch at The Bitterend or Biras Creek or any number of options in the area. For the best views in the BVI try Hog Heaven. If you're keen for some exploration then head over to Spanish Town and enjoy a meal at a number of great restaurants. Our favorites include the Mine Shaft Cafe, Chez Bamboo, Giorgio's Table, Mad Dog's, The Rock Cafe and Top of the Baths. Finally for the best food on the island (our personal favourite) try Coco Maya.
The BVI is a fantastic destination for Scuba Diving and Snorkeling. Top dive sites include the wreck of the RMS Rhone (a must do dive), the wreck of the Chikuzen, The Chimney, The plane wreck on Coral Gardens, Ginger Steps, Dry Rocks and Wreck Ally. For snorkeling we highly recommend a day trip to Anegada. Enjoy a fantastic lobster lunch and snorkeling on this coral island.
In Leverick Bay for the more adventurous you can hire a boat and explore the islands from the sea, alternatively if you just wish to explore the North Sound you can hire a dinghy and visit the Fat Virgin's Cafe for a great relaxed lunch.
The BVI is a sailing Mecca so if you are staying in Spyglass Villa why not charter a boat for the day and enjoy a sail around the islands.
There are numerous walks including the famous walk to Devils Bay through the beautiful granite rock pathway. If you feel you need a bit more of a challenge then a walk up Gorda Peak is well worth it for the fantastic views from the top of the island.
For even more relaxation why not be pampered at one of the spas on the island. Sense at the Little Dix Bay or The Spa at Leverick Bay will certainly not disappoint.
